Privacy Policy — Open in Naver: Myeongdong Food

Open in Naver — Myeongdong Food ("the Extension") is a free, non-commercial browser extension built as an independent portfolio project. This page explains what data the Extension collects and how it is used.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics (GA4): which button was clicked, which curated restaurant was involved (an internal ID, not your identity), and standard aggregate browser/traffic information Google Analytics collects by default.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not create user accounts, and there is no login.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not read or store your Google Maps or Naver Maps browsing history beyond detecting whether the single page you currently have open matches one of our 30 curated Myeongdong restaurants.
• We do not access, read, or transmit the content of any other website you visit.

How the Extension works

The Extension only activates on Google Maps (google.com/maps) and Naver Maps (map.naver.com) pages. All restaurant data (30 curated restaurants in Myeongdong) is bundled directly inside the Extension — there is no external database or server storing your activity. When you click "Open in Naver," the Extension opens the matching Naver Maps page in a new tab. No personal data is sent to Naver as part of this action.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the Extension. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

Data retention

We do not operate our own servers or databases. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page.
